DeleteI love your photos, Amy! Hubby and I are planning a trip to Europe next year and the deciding what we want to do/see is so overwhelming at this stage. How on earth did you work out where you wanted to go and how you wanted to do it? I'm dead keen to do a river cruise (no waves, no swell = no seasickness, right? Please say, right!) and I really want to tour Italy, especially the Amalfi Coast and Tuscany.
ReplyDeleteIt can be overwhelming, Yvonne, I agree! Spoilt for choice. We did a Med cruise so that dictated the itinerary essentially. I wasn;t sure about the boat as I get sea sick but the water was calm and apart from funny moments on land when I felt like I was on the boat (and those views of course!)I really couldn't tell I was on a boat at all!
DeleteLove river crusies - absolutely no swell, I promise! And all those castles are amazing!
Would recommend the Amalfi coast. Positano is eye-achingly gorgeous. But go up into the hills behind as well to Ravello - belissimo!
Love, love, love holiday pics as long as they don't go on for days. Remember the old slide-shows we endured way back when? Well, maybe, you're too young and I was too young at the time because I remember some as interminable.
ReplyDeleteBut nowadays I'm always up for travel pics because I can imagine going there myself. Dreaming about travel is one of my favourite pastimes!

DeleteFunnily enough I always loved them though. So many of them were family slides and I always wanted to know my roots!
I love holiday snaps. Although sometimes they will make me jealous, for the most part they give me inspiration of where to go when I finally pull finger and get travelling.
ReplyDeleteFirst stop: see more of my own beautiful country (including attending more RWNZ conferences), second stop: visit Australia and include meeting to many friends I haven't actually met in person as well as those family members who choose to live in Aus; stop 3+ travel further.
Oh you should definitely pop across the ditch, Lyn - we're all very friendly here and its only a 3 hour flight! It takes longer to fly to Darwin! :-)

DeleteAmy, LOVE the pics. I adore other people's travel pics. If they cover places I've been (as some of these do) it's a chance to relive and find out what's changed and get all excited about visiting again. And if it's a place I don't know it's a chance to find out all about it and get excited about the possibility of going there!
