I have a few long time favorites -
When Harry Met Sally....
Okay, so this movie gets played out over the course of ten years, but there are loads of Christmas elements in this film. The end scene, around New Years, is an absolute treat.
While You Were Sleeping.....
I love, love, love this movie. I have complete adoration for Bill Pullman's perfectly lovable beta hero Jack Callaghan...the scene at the hospital where lonely railway worker Lucy (AKA Sandra Bullock) tells the hero's parents that she loves their son and then points to Jack, and not the brother she was planning on marrying...priceless.
And of course, what would Christmas movie watching be without Hallmark film....Like this one....
Christmas Wedding Planner....
Which is based on a book by a fabulous Harlequin Special Edition author, Stacy Connelly.
So, if you have any favorites, let me know....I'd love to find a new little gem to watch this holiday season.
Merry Merry Merry Christmas!!!!! Have a safe and happy holiday season xx
Not new Helen, but as far as I'm concerned Die Hard is a Christmas movie and a romance!ReplyDelete
Amy have you seen the Die Hard Christmas book that has been released it is so good :)Delete
Ooh, thanks! Off to check it out, Helen!Delete
Mine isn't new either and it's definitely not romance. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is our classic every-Christmas watch. What can I say, but my very-male family doesn't love romance (and Love, Actually) like I do. But we do all love to laugh together and that is a Christmas blessing in itself.ReplyDelete
I have only watched one of the movies you have listed (hangs head in shame) and that is While You Where |Sleeping and I loved it, there are some Christmas movies that I have watched in the past that I loved and they are Miracle on 34th Street, Die Hard (yes I am with Amy) and Home Alone yes I know a lot of them aren't romances but I love them anyway.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family
