We're having a look at the lighter side of technology for our Funday, today!
We all know how important it is to do our best to conserve resources but perhaps there's one area we haven't quite got a viable alternative yet...
And then there's this gorgeous clip on the versatility of technology...
And then there's the language of technology...
Have you got any funny clips you'd like to share?
Sharon
ReplyDeleteThese look like would be really funny I unfortunatley have a terrible time trying to watch any youtube things on my PC I think I must have a bad internet connection I so wish I could see them :)
Have Fun
Helen
Helen, it's a pain when your internet connection is behaving woefully, isn't it! Actually that's not the "lighter side of technology" it's the "annoying side of technology!" It's taken a long time for us to get something satisfactory sorted where we are too.
DeleteSo I've been terribly mean for tempting you with something you can't watch!
They are hilarious, Sharon. Love the iPad going in the dishwasher. Sometimes I feel like doing that to all our electronic gadgets!
ReplyDeleteJen, I know what you mean about the desire to do something irrepairably damaging to an electronic gadget! I've recently changed to a Windows 8 PC because my dear old one died... (gulp) I'd better stop there least I begin to foam at the mouth! Such an untidy look and I have to go into town this morning! ;)
DeleteMy husband has had his tablet for more than 6 months. I recently got him to try Zinio for magazines. He complained the other day that if there's a quiz and the answers are upside down at the bottom he can't read them because the page turns upside by itself again. When I stopped laughing I found he'd never heard of screen rotation.
ReplyDeleteElaine, how priceless! Thanks for sharing this delightful story!
DeleteMy hubby and I are fans of sudoku puzzles - for many years on paper but now electronically on his tablet. We did a paper puzzle again the other weekend and he was complaining, tongue in cheek, that the numbers didn't "light up".
Years ago my brother handed my mum his camera and asked her to take a photo of him.
ReplyDelete"I don't know what to do with this fancy thing," she said.
"You don't have to do anything," he said. "It has automatic focusing."
So she held up the camera and clicked.
"Um...you're supposed to point it at me," he said.
"You told me it was automatic," she said accusingly.
It was hilarious, but maybe you had to be there...
Oh, love it, Claire! Brings to mind a Funniest Home Videos clip some years ago of an elderly couple trying to work out how to use a new-fangled movie camera. They were recording themselves the whole time while the peered at it and chatted about what the buttons did!
