Not so in Arrowtown...
Nothing like the colours seen in fall in the US or Canada I know, but walking alongside the river and seeing the bright shades lit up my day.
Our first stop was at Punakaiki - known as the Pancake Rocks - on the wild west coast. except there was nothing wild about the sea or weather while we were there.
Even the ocean was flat - unheard of most days of the year. The sunset was magic and has given me an idea for a book.
In fact sunsets were a feature of the trip. I just love the colours of autumn and got a little click happy with the camera so now you have to see the results too :)
Of course we get temperature changes at home but not loads of this white stuff. Though this is only a sprinkling compared to what is coming I was so excited every time I saw snow. I love snow but then I don't have to live with it day in, day out.
I love the seasons and these photos show why autumn is my second favourite after spring. It's nature's show that I adore.
Do you have a favourite season and why?
