Five Things Making Me Happy by Amy Andrews

Thought I'd come up with another 5 things blog. So, with no further ado, here are 5 things making me happy at the moment!

1. Firstly this song is making me all kinds of happy. Great message and such a pretty, pastelly, happy film clip.

2. I finished a book. Only anyone who's ever written one, or tried to write one, will understand how good that feels! That brings the happy every single time!

3. Swimming pools. Its been HOT here and having that sparkling blue beauty to immerse myself in has been absolute bliss!

4. Red toe nail polish. Just because....

 5. My little brother is going to be on TV next year as one of the Sharks in Shark Tank Australia. That’s him, the handsome one in the middle with the blue shirt! Am so proud of him!

So there you go - happy stuff :-)

What about you? What's making you happy lately?

  1. Finishing books and toenail polish always make me happy too, Amy. I have a real thing about the beach at the moment. I haven't had a swim so far this season (thought that may in fact change today), but walking by it, hearing the waves and smelling it -- yes please!

  2. Oh yes, Michelle - the beach, the ocean always makes me happy. :-)

  3. Amy, what's making me happy today is that the wind has stopped blowing it's backside off for the first day in ages. Finishing books always makes me happy, as does a glass of wine, getting together with friends.

  4. Great list, Amy!

    The song that makes me all kinds of happy is September by Earth, Wind and Fire. I play it the mornings when I need to give myself a rev up. Always makes me dance around the room!

    I wish I had that euphoric feeling of finishing a book... am in book writing hell atm!

    1. I've seen you at half past stupid hour in the morning ms St George and if you were any more revved up you'd be dangerous :-)
      Hugs on book hell but you know it will end, right?

  5. Great list, I love that song too - but it's such an earworm!!

    Getting ready for Christmas is making me happy - we bought a tree over the weekend and I'm about to decorate it. Also, looking outside and seeing snow is totally putting a smile on my face...even if it means I don't want to leave the house.

  6. Great list of happy, Amy. Wow, your brother is going to be on Shark Tank - I zipped over to see what the series is about - it looks just a teensy bit scary so he's obviously a fearless sort!

    What's making me happy is rain! We had lots yesterday - topped up the tanks and the dam and made my vegie garden very happy - er, yep, still practising to grow a green thumb and my efforts keep the slugs so happy! ;)

    1. Oh yes, he's quite opinionated so it wouldn't surpise me if he's "that" judge, the one everyone loves to hate :-)

      Yay for rain - we need it desperately here. Think we've only had about 20 ml in the last three months and our tanks are getting L.O.W. Rain would make me freaking ecstatically happy!

  7. I am happy to be having Thanksgiving day off from work! I have a couple of jobs & usually work every day but Saturday. By the way, have you seen "All About Those Books" video? Here is the link. Cute!

  8. Hmm, things that have made me happy lately:
    * Time off work
    * Reading time
    * My cousin's 2 year old telling me that I need to visit Sydney more regularly.

    Congrats to your brother on his success - no wonder you are a proud sister.

  10. Great list, Amy!

    What makes me happy at the moment is sneaking off to read when there are stacks of other things I'm supposed to be doing. Love it!
