My grandmother was a woman from country Queensland, which is an area famed for its scones, particularly pumpkin scones. I've never found anyone who can bake pumpkin scones as well as she did, and have given up even tasting them. I'm totally ruined for life now!Rachel Baileyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08200504088343160284noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2489168146200487747.post-16630347424037366592014-08-17T11:55:41.333+10:002014-08-17T11:55:41.333+10:00Sharon, you're growing broad beans in your gar...Sharon, you're growing broad beans in your garden? I'm truly impressed. I tend to stick to things that are really easy to grow, like tomatoes and pumpkins. Though this year we had a capsicum plant come up out of the compost and sprout two green capsicums! I was so impressed with it. :)Rachel Baileyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08200504088343160284noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2489168146200487747.post-7383082136696650292014-08-17T11:36:42.821+10:002014-08-17T11:36:42.821+10:00Helen, it was great to catch up with you, too! Can't wait to read this. As for what spoiled me - if we are talking about food, this one restaurant we used to go to had this really good Bailey's cheesecake with chocolate crumb crust. Too bad the restaurant got too expensive. We haven't been there for a few years. But another thing that spoils me is broad beans out of the garden! I like to pick them extra young so I can eat pods and all. I was introduced to it as a child since my Great Gran (currently 90) is originally from Canada. As a result I absolutely hate the Maple-flavoured syrups from the likes of Cottees that are on the market.Lynnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2489168146200487747.post-87288067674962754952014-08-10T02:20:36.107+10:002014-08-10T02:20:36.107+10:00Hi Rachel- What a wonderful smooch. It's based in California, so now I have family mail it to me or buy it online.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
