I'm thinking that I much prefer the actual reading of scrumptious historicals such as Anna writes. Because the words, the structure, the pacing etc are so important and how you, as a reader, pace yourself…that's all part of the enjoyment. Some sections you need to race through, others to slow down and loll about in the story. Which you can't do when a narrator sets the pace. If that makes any sense…<br /><br />Anyways, enjoy your Anna Campbell. I really like the JD Robb narrator -- I think it's Susan Ericksen? or similar. Others have turned me right off the book. On reflection, I'm thinking I like suspense/thrillers as a genre more then straight romance and that rom-com's/chick-lit has possibly yielded the worst results because the narrators force the humour or the character voice too hard. <br /><br />Ah yes, all the unread sale purchases on the e-reader. However, I do enjoy my e-reader for ease of taking books to and from work etc.<br />Current reading is Jaci Burton's Hope series - I've had first book on my reader for a while and the Easter sale for Kobo meant I was able to pick up the prelude and books 2 and 3 for about the same price as buying one of the titles normally.
