The High teas at Abercrombie House near Bathurst were equally as good as any UK ones. Absolutely delicious. Oceans of tea and plenty of food. Plus it was wonderful being able to wander around the historic house and explore the gardens. Enjoyed them so much it's on our must-do list from now on when we travel there from Q'ld each year.Pam Swainnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2489168146200487747.post-18404696980223257362016-11-02T10:41:20.852+11:002016-11-02T10:41:20.852+11:00Oooh, you've been to quite a few, Helen! While I love high tea,
I do prefer it when there's a good balance between sweet and savoury otherwise it gets a bit sickly for even this sweet tooth!Kandy Shepherdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16992773219169379298noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2489168146200487747.post-17249103898647125852016-11-01T14:48:18.474+11:002016-11-01T14:48:18.474+11:00Gosh, Rachel, that looks like a fabulous High Tea....Gosh, Rachel, that looks like a fabulous High Tea. What more could an avid reader want or need. You had it all? I've only ever been to one "proper" High Tea and that was at The Kiosk in One Tree Hill, here in Auckland. They did an incredible job and it was truly delicious. Not sure what it did for my blood sugar though, LOL!
Yvonne Lindsayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13239798631137178485noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2489168146200487747.post-16665030637713448012016-11-01T12:06:19.687+11:002016-11-01T12:06:19.687+11:00Isn't high tea simply the best, Rach? I did an ARRA high tea in Sydney when Sarah Wendell came to visit, and the things I remember best were the great conversation, followed by the amazing scones and the most gorgeous teas served in the prettiest china. I really must do a high tea again soon. It feels overdue. But the main thing is always to do it with someone nice. My daughter once took me to an art themed high tea at the NGV in Melbourne and it was such fun. We spend the afternoon giggling.Annie Westhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16804740491737358014noreply@blogger.com
